Job Details: Job Description Summary Cubic is seeking a talented and motivated C++ Software Engineer to join our dynamic team of geospatial engineers. We work on mission-critical software applications at the enterprise level and at the edge, and we are looking for an engineer who can help us bridge that gap. The ideal candidate will have a dual role, serving not only as a software developer but also as a test engineer, ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Hybrid position with 3 days on-site weekly. #LI-hybrid Key Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C++ software applications. * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. * Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality. * Perform debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. * Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. * Utilize JIRA for task management, bug tracking, and project tracking. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development and testing processes. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development and testing. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and/or the combined equivalent of experience and education, plus 8 years of related experience. * Proven experience in C++ software development. * Active Secret clearance is required, must be eligible for TS/SCI. * Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns. * Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases. * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. * Proficiency in using JIRA for task management and bug tracking. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with geospatial technologies or pixel processing and applications. * Experience with programming language in Java. * Experience working cross platform in Windows and Linux * Experience with scripting in Bash * Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. * Experience with version control systems, such as Git. Additional Job Description The Engineering function is responsible for all engineering activities within a firm to ensure that business objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design, and improvement of products, equipment, facilities, services, standards, and procedures in all engineering fields. Cubic Pay Range: $100,000 - $185,820 + benefits. The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
