The Role

The Procurement Analyst for GTI will be responsible for supporting all material planning, procurement, and logistics activities at our Rock Island, IL cultivation center inclusive of inventory management, material resource planning, supply planning, procurement, supply chain performance, warehousing, and logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for making sure Rock Island has the material required to fuel the growth of the production site.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support:



  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with site Operation Leadership, Corporate Procurement, Supply Chain Planning teams.


  • Proactively identify and anticipate scheduling, functional needs, action/follow-up items, priorities, and procurement planning.


  • Support Logistics Manager on supply chain initiatives, new product integrations (NPI), and site-level supply chain management.



Procurement and Logistics:



  • Main point of contact for all site purchasing and inbound shipments of equipment and materials.


  • Lead Purchase Order creation in the ERP system, shipment tracking, delivery coordination, and payment confirmation.


  • Communicate with vendors partners for order status, delivery information, and invoicing.


  • Create and maintain tracking documents for new projects and other GTI initiatives.


  • Responsible for building relationships with vendors and suppliers based on site requirements.



Materials Planning and Inventory Management:



  • Lead Materials Resource Planning (MRP) for the production facility


  • Manage receipt of incoming & outbound shipments for raw materials & finished goods.


  • Lead month end inventory for all materials and reconciliations for purchase orders, inventory requisitions, and intercompany transfers.


  • Manage supply inventory for cultivation, chemical storage, and safety/PPE equipment.



Qualifications



  • College degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.


  • Up to two years' experience as a Supply Chain Planner, Procurement Associate, Inventory Control, or Materials Management.


  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook). Tableau a plus


  • Initiative-taking, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, and resourcefulness


  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with a commitment to quality work


  • High attention to detail and due diligence


  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding and fast-paced environment


  • Superior communication and people skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally


  • Understands and complies with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb and the cannabis industry

Additional Requirements



  • Must pass all required background checks


  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry


  • Must possess valid driver's license


  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age



Supplemental Duties




  • Work with management in resolving issues, tracking material availability, and advising on material usage.


  • Manage the materials management function, including cost estimates, purchasing, receiving, purchase order/records management, distribution, and inventory control ensuring compliance with department procedures and university regulations.


  • Provide recommendations for supply chain process considerations, and/or improvement.


  • Ensure quality of sure and stable supply of materials; monitor timeliness of the deliveries/performance and identify patterns.


  • Assess and implement various methods of inventory (e.g., consignment or Vendor Managed/Owned Inventory) and requirements forecasting (MRP), in conjunction with Procurement/Supply Chain.


  • Work closely with warehouse personnel regarding all aspects of materials management (i.e., stocking levels; job site deliveries; new and obsolete material; material changes/project timelines).


  • Periodically review materials forecasts against actual demand (used and/or returned materials) and make recommendations or adjustments.


  • Coordinate all material and equipment-related activities from receipt to turn over including shipping/receipt, loading and unloading, tagging, identification, traceability, storage and control, inventory management, warehousing, and issue


  • Communicate forecast of project material requirements and timelines to contracted suppliers.


  • Work with management to control and manage all aspects of material flow and to maintain control and accuracy over inventories including all requisitions, allocations, transactions, planning, cost, cycle count, warehousing, and receiving functions.


  • Coordinate the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products between various production areas and warehouses.


  • Ensure material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules.


  • Collect and analyze data on current orders, production levels, and sales forecasts to estimate future demand for materials.


  • Control inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill forecasted sales and scheduled distribution plans.


  • Monitor and update master schedule to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls.


  • Analyze inventory levels, production speed, product demand, and shipment schedules that determine reorder levels and ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.


  • Create and review reports to identify trends or issues and to support or initiate actions or adjustments.


  • Work with detailed historic reports to determine order quantities, process new purchase orders, and amend generated orders


  • Assist with inventory control management activities including implementing process enhancements to streamline the replenishment function.


  • Track purchase orders and deal with delivery and stock issues.
