Director of Nursing Learning Resource & Simulation Center The University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Nursing is seeking a collaborative and experienced nursing educator to manage and oversee all operations of the College of Nursing (CON) Nursing Learning Resource and Simulation Center (NLRSC). This is a full-time, non-tenure track (NTT) position. As the Director of the NLRSC, you will support faculty, staff, and students in the teaching and development of nursing skills, utilization of simulation, and use of instructional technology and media to enhance student learning in undergraduate and graduate academic programs. To be successful in this role, you will need effective interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and within teams. Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all operations of the College of Nursing (CON) Nursing Learning Resource and Simulation Center (NLRSC)
- Collaborate with program directors, course faculty, and designated NLRSC faculty/facilitators in planning the delivery of student learning experiences and evaluation activities in the nursing skills, assessment and simulation labs
- Provide leadership for the utilization and integration of clinical simulation in the undergraduate and graduate curricula
- Develop and present training programs for faculty and staff on the use of NLRSC-specific processes and instructional technologies including simulation
- Provide leadership to the NLRSC faculty team including the simulation coordinator and simulation faculty
- Manage recruitment, hiring, supervision, and performance evaluation of NLRSC student workers and graduate assistants
- Support use of instructional technology and media in collaboration with NLRSC IT specialists to enhance student learning in undergraduate and graduate academic programs
- Manage nursing simulation, assessment and skills laboratories to support academic programs
- Problem solve to optimize operations and support ongoing quality improvement
- Liaison activities
- Coordinate use of NLRSC space and equipment by groups internal and external to the CON
- Provide tours and presentations for specific groups
- Assist with fundraising activities as requested
- Other activities
- Represent the CON on/at university committees, activities, events, conferences, professional meetings and with external user groups
- Sustain awareness of trends in simulation through employer-provided/supported membership in attendance at conferences and other professional meetings, journal subscriptions, and networking
- Other activities as assigned: special projects, initiative, and related duties

Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
- A graduate degree in nursing
- Possession of an unencumbered license as a professional nurse
- Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Missouri
- Evidence of successful classroom and/or clinical teaching experience including experience with instructional media and technology
- Two years of experience working in a baccalaureate nursing skills lab
- Two years of experience working in a nursing simulation lab
Preferred:
- Terminal degree in nursing or related field
- Certification in simulation education
- Experience supervising personnel
