Job Description Summary

Manager of the FERC Compliance Department. Oversees the implementation of FERC and NERC regulations that impact PGE. Monitors compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company procedures and policies.
Identifies and evaluates risks. Supports the design and implementation of controls and standards. Responds to concerns, resolves issues and advises the business on rules, controls and industry best practices. Administers key compliance processes, including training and other corporate controls.

Key Responsibilities

FERC Compliance Program: Contributes to the overall compliance effort of PGE, provides leadership and representation in PGE's relationships with FERC, NERC and WECC, assures accuracy and overall compliance of FERC tariffs and other regulatory filings, and represents PGE before regulatory agencies regarding compliance matters. Establishes goals and metrics for the team. Manages performance and provides coaching and development guidance.

FERC Compliance Function Management: Manages a team of corporate compliance professionals responsible for advising operational units in their duty to comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal procedures; provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose.

Financial Management: Monitors and manages expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examines any areas where budgets/expenditures vary from plan; assists with the definition and operation of effective financial controls and decision making.

Resourcing: Oversees resourcing decisions and planning for team; partners with HR in the definition of jobs, recruitment, evaluation and selection processes.

Professional Development: Reviews organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team; provides guidance in the creation of development plans; monitors ongoing progress and provides coaching and mentoring and provides feedback; completes annual performance management reviews.

Education/Experience/Certifications:

Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in science, technology or other related field or equivalent experience. Master's degree in technical field preferred.

Experience: Prefer eight or more years in compliance, including at least three years of FERC/NERC experience.

Certifications, Licenses and Training: Professional compliance certification preferred.

Compensation Range:

$116,410.00 - $216,190.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
