A Research Associate II is available in the lab of Dr. Rupangi Vasavada. Dr. Vasavada's research is centered on understanding the pathophysiology of diabetes and finding ways to treat the disease. Her research focuses on biological factors that enhance the preservation and regeneration of functional beta cells for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Recent work in her lab is directed toward understanding the role of extracellular vesicles as functional and molecular biomarkers in type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
