Job Title: 1661 FT Market Executive - Greenwood, IN Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: As a Market Executive, you are the commercial team lead in the Market and a member of the Market management team. You will investigate and develop opportunities to attract new customers, manage existing commercial relationships, along with leading, coaching and developing the market commercial lending team and other team members. You will establish plans for growth, maintaining a high quality sales and a service culture, as well as providing lending oversight and approval of commercial, consumer and portfolio mortgages. Strategic thinking will come in handy as you assist in development and execution of annual business plans, budgets and strategies for the market. With your active engagement, you will participate in the recruitment and hiring efforts to attract and retain top commercial performers. What You'll Do:
- A Day in the Life - Performance management is key in this role, including the leadership of the commercial lending team. Your deep understanding of the market and team allows you to cultivate a sales culture, developing and implementing individual training plans (sales, technical, compliance, etc.) and performing performance reviews for the commercial team. Utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of existing and prospective customers, you identify goals, problems, and opportunities, and develop solutions. With your experience in sales management, you plan, implement and execute a business calling/prospecting program, generating new lending relationships and managing an existing portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities include oversight of the day-to-day commercial operations. You also oversee the extension of credits within established lending authorities and mange credit underwriting to align with bank policy and procedures.
- You're Part of the Team: Your reach extends across business lines, including retail, investments, and wealth advisory, and drives a cross-business sales culture, including the creation of a goal-oriented cross sales and referral environment. You also represent German American in the community, working toward community development and leadership through involvement in service, civic organizations, and community events and activities. You provide leadership and liaison to the Region's Advisory Board, driving ambassadorship, business development, and collaborating for general business counsel.
What it Takes:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 10+ year's Commercial Lending experience
- Strong technical lending skills with the ability to analyze financial statements and a strong understanding of loan documentation.
- Proven track record in commercial loan growth, selling, negotiating, building relationships and cross selling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail in creating professional presentations
- Building business and personal relationships through strong interpersonal skills
- Creating and networking with business contacts/influencers to develop referrals
- Assessing and delivering sound credit decisions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to provide superior customer service
