The Accounting Manager position is responsible for the daily supervision and training of staff accountants, the review of monthly entries, and maintaining a relationship with other departments.

Located in Tampa, FL

Compensation: up to $120,000 + bonus

Responsibilities

• Assist in the month end close process
• Supervision and development of Staff Accountants
• Work with frontline, sales, customer service and revenue management to validate account balance issues and troubleshoot where necessary
• Prepare, review, and approve monthly journal entries
• Perform complex account reconciliations and analyses
• Lead team's process of continually reducing the time/effort required to achieve an expeditious close while maintaining and improving the quality of the close
• Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance required; CPA Required
• Accounting experience within a large public or private company; month end close experience related to tight deadlines and multitude of task
• Experience in ensuring audit objectives are met
• Competent in GAAP accounting; experience with GAAP research
• Oracle ERP experience preferred
• Must have Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros) required
• Essbase experience is a plus
• Ability to identify and accurately resolve open items
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have attention to details
• Proven track record of leadership with a demonstrated ability to search for alternative solutions
