Press Helper

Our company is seeking a hard working Press Assistant to help in our print operations. We are a light manufacturing company that produces contactless payment cards for customers. In this position, you will assist the Pressroom in handling all incoming and out-coming materials as needed in our manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Sets up and operates machine as required
• Verifies that equipment is ready for operation and that necessary supplies are available
• May perform general equipment maintenance procedures
• Troubleshoots job/machine problems or failures, as needed
• Routinely loads feeders
• Fills out required paperwork including quality documents; initial inspection, in-process, and final inspection sheet.
• Identifies material with poor quality and seeks assistance if needed to correct
• Watches product to ensure mag strips are applied in the exact location required, stopping machine and adjusting as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous machine operating experience; one year
• High mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Lift, move, push or pull up to 50lbs

• Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary

Physical requirements:

• Stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move, push or pull up to 50lbs
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
• Good vision with the ability to distinguish color

Preferred Skills:

• Printing or graphics experience
• Manufacturing experience with mechanical ability
