Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our System Performance team at Eglin AFB, FL. The selected candidate will translate operational needs in program documentation. They will support the team by gathering documentation for functional configuration audit and work with the rest of the team to validate that the documentation demonstrates the requirements are met. This position will also support project management duties for the group. The selected candidate will be skilled in processing earned value assessments and tying that to technical performance of the group. This position supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Division Long Range Stand Off Weapon Office.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in Program Management supporting an ACAT1 major acquisition program.



  • Establish and implement a systems engineering approach to translate operational needs into technically feasible, affordable, and operationally effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain key program documents, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), acquisition strategies, and risk management plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and military personnel, to ensure alignment and integration of program objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle. Implement risk management strategies to address technical, cost, and schedule risks.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition policies, regulations, and best practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant acquisition and engineering standards.
  • Develop, manage, and execute acquisitions strategies for complex systems.
  • Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Relevant Masters Degree, Bachelors Degree may be supported with appropriate additional years of experience.
  • Bachelors or higher in engineering is required: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, etc.
  • 10+ years of project management and systems engineering experience
  • Active & Current DOD Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance (non-negotiable); Must be able to maintain clearance at required level.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • On-site employment (no teleworking for this position)

  • USAF DOD ACAT1 Program Office Experience
