In this role you, along with an engineering team, will create standard logistics system building blocks for usage globally by the operations organization. You will work as part of a cross functional team of highly experienced mechanical, controls, and contract engineers. These building blocks will provide for a backbone of all standard offerings. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $ 82,000 - 166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

* Maestro contenting and development.
* Developing Siemens PLC and HMI software.
* Developing emulation models.
* Develop documentation to describe the control functionality of modules and how to configure the module-specific items.

1 - Create and commercialize standard pre-engineered functional building blocks used to create modularized and configurable Dematic material handling systems

2 - Understand international and regional requirements to ensure code compliance

3 - Work with a diverse cross-functional international organization and various subject matter experts

4 - The engineer controls the content, on mechanical layouts, for standard modules and solutions for repeated use by Dematic's global Solutions Development and Project Execution organizations

5 - Tasks include generating Controls Description of Operations, controls layouts, drawings, emulation models, SCADA, PLC software, and documentation

6 - Coordinate with the Global Controls Architecture team, Systems Engineering team, and Product and Commercialization Program Managers on requirements and deliverables

7 - Provide feedback on challenges and recommendations for process, tool, and product improvements to drive organizational efficiencies and best-in-class customer offerings

8 - Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the developed modules and solutions

9 - Integrate third-party equipment, as required, to ensure compliance with Dematic Controls Architecture

10 - Host presentations and Q&A sessions regarding technical details of the system/module in various online and offline formats

11 - (Sr. Professional) Lead a team of engineers to develop multiple modules concurrently.

What We are Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics)

  • At least 3 years experience in a related field

  • Experience with PLCs

  • Experience with electrical/hardware design using AutoCAD (or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in controls engineering

  • Siemens PLC experience

  • Material Handling experience/automation experience

  • Experience working on large-scale projects from start to finish.

  • Superior communication skills

  • Experience working in a cross-functional engineering team.

  • Previous experience working to create standardization.
