Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Thomas Jefferson University/Hospitals is currently seeking candidates to expand our outstanding Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

  • BC/BE General Gastroenterologist

Jefferson is a large tertiary care academic medical center and a part of the 18 hospital Jefferson Health System. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Gastroenterology is ranked 25th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Jefferson Gastroenterology is a forward thinking, well published division that includes 40 physicians, many with national reputations and 8 APPrsquo;s. In the spring of 2024, the Division will move into the new state-of-the-art ambulatory building where it will occupy two floors, one clinical and one for our new outpatient Endoscopy Unit. The Pancreaticobiliary and Advanced Endoscopy Section has a robust inpatient service, performs nearly 5,000 advanced procedures/year and an Advanced Fellowship Program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Patient centric evaluation, management, and care
  • Ability to perform and teach advanced procedures
  • Work as team including sharing patients
  • Communication with all members of the academic and health care team
