The Jefferson College of Nursing is seeking a full-time faculty member for its DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program (NAP). This position is responsible for teaching anesthesia-specific content and course management of designated coursework in the plan of study. All teaching should incorporate evidence-based practice principles into content taught. The role requires demonstrated knowledge, competence, and experience in the nurse anesthesia specialty for at least three years of providing direct patient care as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Experience as a didactic instructor is preferred. The role requires excellent organizational, written, and oral interpersonal communication skills. In collaboration with the Program Director of the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program, this faculty member will be responsible for: bull; Providing in-person classroom instruction bull; Providing course management bull; Developing and/or revising course content as needed to remain current bull; Video recording lecture content for future use bull; Holding office hours bull; Planning and participating in simulation and skills lab bull; Participating in the admissions process for the nurse anesthesia program bull; Providing guidance for student DNP projects bull; Developing and maintain clinical sites bull; Assisting with curriculum development bull; Providing classroom and clinical instruction, counseling to students involved in clinical incidents, bull; Assisting the Program Director in obtaining and maintenance of accreditation by the Council on bull; Maintaining student records in accordance with the COA and NBCRNA bull; Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the bull; Earned doctoral degree in nursing or appropriate discipline from an accredited institution bull; Unencumbered PA RN license bull; Certification as a CRNA through the NBCRNA bull; Three years of clinical experience providing direct patient care as a CRNA bull; Teaching experience preferred bull; Applicants must also have knowledge of CRNA practice and professional issues bull; Participation in relevant professional organizations This is a salaried position with a generous benefit and retirement program.
