Experience, Education, Degree, Certification(s), License(s):

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of related experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Proficiencies):

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a clerical/secretarial position in a healthcare-related field.
• At least 1+ years of experience as a certified Bra Fitter, Cosmetologist, or Aesthetician.
• PA License Eligible

Required Experience, Education, Certification(s), License(s)

• Relevant certification and/or training for Bra Fitter, Cosmetologist, or Aesthetician required.
• Bra Fitter Certification highly desired.
• Must be Pennsylvania license eligible.

Job Summary
The Image Recovery Specialist - Oncology Care at SKCC Center City plays a crucial role in supporting the emotional and physical well-being of cancer patients. This position involves managing an educational and retail center that offers specialized products and services, such as wigs, skincare, and breast prostheses. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled licensed cosmetologist/breast fitter to join our dedicated team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson

2. Maintain an educational service and retail center, providing specialized products and services to support the needs of cancer patients and others whose appearance has been altered due to disease, treatment, or trauma.

3. Patient Satisfaction and Support

• Ensure the highest standards of patient satisfaction to position SKCC Center City as the preferred hospital for patients and employees.
• Provide compassionate, personalized care to meet the unique needs of cancer patients.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to patients regarding changes in their appearance.

4. Record Maintenance and Compliance

• Maintain detailed patient and financial records.
• Ensure adherence to SKCC Center City policies and compliance with Department of Health and state regulations.
• Accurately document patient interactions and product fittings.

5. Product Knowledge and Education

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered.
• Educate staff and patients on the use and benefits of various products.
• Coordinate marketing and promotional activities to enhance product displays and presentations.

6. Billing Coordination

• Manage the patient billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all billing procedures and regulations.
• Handle insurance claims and patient inquiries regarding billing.

7. Merchandise Management

• Order merchandise for clients and prepare requisitions to ensure adequate stock levels of all necessary products.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels.
• Ensure product displays are attractive and well-organized.

8. Additional Duties

• Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and functionality of the Image Recovery Center.
• Participate in community outreach programs and events to promote the services of the Image Recovery Center.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new products relevant to cancer care and recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
