PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Senior Research Investigator (SRI) will be a high-level leadership role in the laboratory, acting as key overseer of all fundamental activities associated with the conduct of sponsored science in an academic environment, and support multiple research projects in a collaborative setting. The SRI will execute key projects and help lead the scientific management of other personnel in the laboratory. The SRI will determine job complexity, set priorities and supervise the day-to-day experimental techniques related to conducting standardized procedures and experiments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: MD or Ph.D.in Biology, Biomedical Sciences or related field required. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:5 plus years of lab management experience required. Proven expertise in immunology and hands-on experience with flow cytometry, including data analysis and interpretation ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Experienced researcher with strong technical, analytical, management, organizational, communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Must have a solid base knowledge of advanced scientific principals and methods. Familiarity with a wide range of laboratory equipment.
