PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Financial Aid, the Senior Associate Director of Academic and Financial Services is responsible for providing strong financial aid/debt management counseling, advisement and education with specific focus on medical students. The Senior Associate Director will update and enhance debt management programming and develop new pathways for financial education curricula. The Senior Associate Director is responsible for overseeing federal, state and university compliance regulations for all financial aid programs. assisting with the preparation of reports required by internal departments and external agencies. Responsibilities include packaging, awarding, and personal counseling of students, with a specific focus of medical students. As a part of the financial aid team, this individual will support and contribute to office operations and processes and provide guidance and leadership to all staff in the financial aid office, academic services, and other related departments. EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Bachelorrsquo;s Degree required. _________________________________________________________________________ CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION: Financial Literacy Certification a plus. _________________________________________________________________________ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:3 + years of financial aid/financial education administration experience. Prior supervisory experience required. ________________________________________________________________________ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Strong computer skills particularly MS Window-based office applications. Strong public speaking experience Expertise in the Ellucian Banner or other comparable student financial aid system. Knowledge of NSLDS functionality. Thorough knowledge of federal financial aid regulations.
