Manager Clinical Integration Quality

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

In conjunction with the Director, the Manager Clinical Integration amp; Quality is responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of quality and safety within the department of Obstetric and Gynecology Services treating both inpatient and outpatient populations. The Manager Clinical Integration amp; Quality works collaboratively with both department and enterprise leaders, safety and risk management officers, employees and administrative leadership to develop and implement quality measures, , and provide oversight for regulatory programs, ensure compliance and execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as a subject matter authority for enterprise, departmental, regulatory and publicly reported quality and safety metrics.
  • Define and implement process improvements on key Obstetric and Gynecology initiatives that result in significant improvement in quality, safety, operations and service delivery.
  • Analyzing clinical data and completeing gap analysis for areas of improvement and/or risk mitigation within the department and enterprise.
  • Ensure appropriate metric or key performance indicators are defined, measured, and analyzed to ensure process compliance, resource staffing, continuous improvement opportunities and follow up of process execution performance.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership for the Obstetrics and Gynecology department in meeting enterprise goals and objectives
  • Direct and manage multiple projects in various stages of the development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Develop amp; maintain strong, positive business relationships with key internal clients to clearly understand their business processes, and the development/articulation of short amp; long term clinical and/or business objectives.
  • Mobilize and lead cross campus and departmental project teams to meet the objectives within the given time frame, and within budget; have a strong project management mindset.
  • Gather, collect, organize, prioritize, conduct statistical analysis, and present data concerning clinical and/or financial opportunities
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical leaders and staff to ensure improvements are data-driven and evidence-based
  • Facilitate meetings to solve urgent business and clinical needs
  • Design, implement and manage performance improvement and quality metrics.
  • Provide education and mentorship to departmental residents and nurses on quality improvement models, objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Electronic Medical Records support and implementation.
  • In collaboration with the Department of Obstestric and Gynecology, drive compliance with quality reporting registries and public reporting of quality data across ambulatory and inpatient including but not limited to: LeapFrog, Joint Comission, and USNews and World Reports
  • Maintains files on Risk Management data for internal and external use.
  • Coordinates with other clinical and administrative departments regarding risk management issues; Available to provide direction and coordinate counsel to physician, nursing and administrative staff regarding medical-legal issues. Monitors Risk Management cases and issues.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

5 years clinical or population health experience, nursing or MPH preferred

EPIC and Excel proficiency preferred

OB/GYN experience preferred
