Physical Therapy Assistant -Per Diem- Jefferson Einstein Montgomery

PT Assistant provides therapy treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning, for a full patient caseload in acute care, acute rehab, skilled facility, outpatient settings as appropriate. Demonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (aides, volunteers) and complies with all hospital and network policies. Participates in education and teaching commensurate with novice clinician.

middot; Assists the rehabilitation staff by performing delegated or routine tasks related to the operation of a

physical therapy department, including patient preparation, transportation and departmental

maintenance.

middot; Aids in the instruction and assistance of patients practicing prescribed exercises and functional

activities. Transports and safeguards patients to and from treatment areas.

middot; Maintains patient medical records and other paperwork in a physiotherapy department

middot; Supervises exercise programs, leads group exercises, documents appropriately (attendance, fees

paid), and demonstrates knowledge of the specific needs relative to the safety of the participant.

middot; Arranges treatment supplies to ensure an orderly and sufficient stock.

middot; Communicates impressions and objective information in a clear and timely manner to therapists,

supervisors, and others as directed to insure efficient coordination and optimal outcomes.

middot; Performs other duties as assigned.

PT: Associates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Experience:

0-2 years of clinical practice, 1 year preferred

ValidPA state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant required

BLS, CPR certification required.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
