Financial Analyst II, (FT, Days) - Jefferson Center City

The Financial Analyst has responsibility for the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care and the Division of Hospital Medicine. Responsibilities include financial and operational oversight of the daily business operations for the divisions in the areas of finance, divisional management and administration, clinical activities, clinical research financial management, personnel management, facility management and operational leadership.

  • Prepare budgets pertaining to clinical and administrative activities in accordance with University guidelines. Prepare supporting budget schedules and perform budget reconciliation and analysis. Prepare financial forecasts and explain budget variances on an ongoing basis, and as needed by the Department and University.
  • Monitor the activity of the divisionsrsquo; College, Clinical, Gift, and Discretionary accounts. Review and perform monthly reconciliation of all financial statements. Analyze and report variances to prior year and budget, as applicable. Provide summary data to Division Directors and Department on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist/prepare payments as needed
  • Provide FTE management and oversight, including, but not limited to Position Control, Salary Distribution, and provider Effort.
  • Provide oversight for divisional revenue cycle and billing functions including charge entry and accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Serve as backup and/or proxy as appropriate to the Administrator with regards to provider recruitment, including pro-forma creation and analysis
  • Prepare divisional financial/statistical reports and analysis as requested by the Division Directors and Department.
  • Provide oversight of clinical trials finances in collaboration with Jefferson Clinical Research Institute and PACC Research leadership, including salary distribution management
  • Provide assistance with provider credentialing, onboarding, and re-appointments.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned to maintain the efficient operation of the division.
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.

Bachelorrsquo;s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. Masterrsquo;s preferred

Minimum of three years of accounting/finance experience. Experience in an academic/clinical setting preferred.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
