Thomas Jefferson University seeks a visionary and collaborative academic physician leader to serve as the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology amp; Perioperative Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and the Enterprise Clinical Leader for Perioperative Services at Jefferson Health. Jefferson Health has a clinical footprint of 17 hospitals and more than 160 outpatient and urgent care locations spanning southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. The Department of Anesthesiology amp; Perioperative Medicine is a large and varied academic department dedicated to carrying out the mission of Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and the Jefferson Health Care Network. We proudly sponsor a fully accredited residency training program, fellowship programs, as well as educational programs for medical students. I addition, we offer a nationally recognized CME program each year. In the central campus alone, the department has 60 Faculty Anesthesiologists, 65 CRNAs and 55 Residents. This campus hosts 4 surgical facilities providing 31,000 surgical anesthetics and 25,000 endoscopy anesthetics annually. In addition, the central department supports 3,000 deliveries annually. The Department Chair will provide direct oversight of the Departmentrsquo;s 60 clinical faculty, ensuring state-of-the-art clinical care is provided at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Jeffersonrsquo;s flagship quaternary care hospital, and 10 additional locations. Reporting to the Dean of Sidney Kimmel Medical College, the Chair will also oversee the Departmentrsquo;s research programs. The Chair will ensure an outstanding clinical education, research opportunities, and mentorship for its students, residents, and fellows. The Chair will do so in an environment that prioritizes outstanding patient-centered care and fosters well- being, growth, and development, assuring for the Departmentrsquo;s reputation for excellence and its ability to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive faculty body. The Enterprise Clinical Leader for Perioperative Shared Services will strategically lead the service linersquo;s evolution, responding in innovative ways to ensure the efficient delivery of quality- focused services and equitable access for Jeffersonrsquo;s communities amidst an everchanging healthcare landscape. Reporting to the President of the Jefferson Medical Group at Jefferson Health, the Enterprise Clinical Leader will advance the service line towards Jeffersonrsquo;s mission of becoming a fully integrated academic health system.
