Performs mechanical, electrical, control, maintenance, repair, improvement to facilities and operational tasks using instrumentation, equipment, tools of the trade; works from drawings, sketches, manuals, technical data and written or verbal instructions; determines task related materials/equipment; exercises trade related code/safety practices; works with peers, other trades, contracted services, other department personnel; responds to physical plant/facilities emergencies. High school graduate or equivalent vocational education. Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program or documented equivalent. 4 to 6 years industrial/institutional experience. Able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, manual information, technical data and verbal instructions. Ability to plan daily activity and work with minimal supervision. Knowledgeable in tools, equipment, instrumentation and controls of the trade. Some fire/safety training. Freon certification. Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
