An entry level postdoctoral position in B cell tolerance and autoimmunity

An entry level postdoctoral scholar position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ziaur Rahman, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Rahman Lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms that promote autoreactive B cell development in systemic lupus erythematosus (Domeier et al. JEM 2016, Domeier et al. Cell Reports, 2018). Full list of publications can be viewed at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/myncbi/1rO-uZDmKqKQ8/bibliography/public/

The successful candidate will contribute to an NIH-supported project to study the mechanisms by which microRNA-21 (miR-21) regulate the development of autoreactive B cells, autoantibody production and lupus nephritis. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in immunology and experience using mouse models. Experience studying cellular metabolism is also desirable, but not required. A cover letter summarizing research experience, CV, and contact information for three references are to be submitted.
