Location: University of Oklahoma Medical Center 7E Shift Available: Full Time Nights (36 hours/week) 6:45p-6:45a or 6:45p-6:45a The Medicine Nephrology Unit consists of 22 beds. This unit is part of our new collaborative care model, where a grouping of ten patients is cared for by a team consisting of RN, LPN and a dedicated CTA. The unit is divided into two groupings or pods, to care for a medicine surgical patient population, with a focus of renal disease, acute dialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and all other medicine related diagnosis. There are also two dedicated comfort care/end of life suites, which are staffed with a dedicated concierge RN, providing care for the patient and family during the final stages of life. Elevate your career with OU Health's LPN to BSN Degree Accelerator program through the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing, designed to empower Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to seamlessly transition to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. We shoulder the financial responsibility, covering costs for LPNs in the LPN to BSN RN program, which offers asynchronous classes, Oklahoma-based clinical rotations, and internet-based coursework to accommodate working nurses. This flexible hybrid program, spanning 60 credit hours, blends 30 credit hours from advanced standing examination and 30 from program enrollment, providing an accessible pathway for LPNs to enhance their education and professional growth within the nursing field. This benefit is available to those OU Health Employees who: Are Full-Time and Part-Time (0.6 or more FTE) LPN employees Have been continuously employed by OU Health for a minimum of 6 months Have a minimum of 1 year LPN experience All those admitted to the program must remain employed by OU Health through program completion. General Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Completion of educational requirements for NCLEX-PN examination. Experience: None required. One or more years of experience preferred. Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC).
