GENERAL FUNCTION

This role is responsible for leading the audit team to ensure the successful execution of client audits in compliance with professional standards. This role involves providing strategic oversight, mentoring team members, and organizing audit activities to meet deadlines. The Audit leader will act as clients' primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met. They will develop and implement governance processes, utilize data analytics to enhance audit methodologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Audit leader will oversee the preparation and presentation of audit reports, ensuring transparency and effective communication of status and findings to senior management and stakeholders. The role includes coordinating EyeMed's SOC I report with internal control owners and third-party assessors.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provides oversight, direction, and performance management for the team, including mentoring and developing individual team members.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day activities for team members to ensure proper execution and coverage for client audits.
  • Act as an escalation point and represent the team for audits with internal and external parties.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.
  • Utilize data analytics and technology to enhance audit methodologies and tools.
  • Track and report on the status of audits, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as clients' primary point of contact, addressing their concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to enhance the value and impact of audit services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align audit activities with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive governance processes to create leadership awareness and visibility into audit performance, trends, and risks.
  • Ensure audit processes and results are transparent and communicated effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and concisely, facilitating understanding and action.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the audit department and across the organization.
  • Responsible for EyeMed's SOC I report, coordinating efforts between internal control owners and third-party assessors.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in business/law related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading an operations team
  • Experience in a project oversight type role with demonstrated ability to drive implementation, manage multiple projects, and influence others
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework within which the company operates
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from stakeholders
  • Ability to influence internal & external constituents
  • Collaborative workstyle with the ability to build good working relationships
  • Self-motivate with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Project Management Experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Masters Degree
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
