Administrator in Training (AIT): Shift Type: Full-Time Location: Avamere Olympic Rehab - 1000 S 5th Ave. Sequim, WA 98382 Candidates should reside within the State of WA The primary responsibility of this position is to learn the day-to-day responsibilities of a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in pursuit of becoming a state and federally LNHA for Avamere. The Avamere AIT program strictly follows all state guidelines and will take no less than 6 months of training. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Administrator in Training (AIT). This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional care to residents. Candidates should have recent experience working within a SNF setting and live in the State of Washington. Responsibilities:
- Learn, at minimum, the basic concepts for operating each department within the facility, including, but not limited to: Admissions, Business Office, Nursing and Staffing, Activities, Dietary and Maintenance.
- Assist in the planning, development, organization, implementation, evaluation and direction of the facility's programs and services.
- Understand the coordination of all facility operations to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
- Assist in developing and upholding written policies and procedures, and professional standards of practice that govern the operations of the facility.
- Learn how to prepare an annual operating budget, review and interpret monthly financial statements, and make adjustments as necessary to assure the continued ability to provide quality care.
- Develop an understanding of the industry, including community involvement, competitors and public relations.
- Participate in state and federal surveys of the facility, reviewing any deficiencies and developing plans of correction.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, and uphold procedures to ensure all staff are trained and in compliance with this policy.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration or similar coursework.
- Experience working in a leadership role within a Skilled Nursing Facility environment.
- Experience and success in a management role, with a clear understanding of popular leadership concepts and techniques.
- Must present a professional appearance and reputation to represent Avamere and its facilities.
- Must be flexible to travel to multiple Avamere locations to gain experience and exposure to different situations within Skilled Nursing Facilities.
