Job Summary

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Temp Program Coordinator to join our team of professionals.

Duties include:

Provides administrative support in the planning and preparation of course sessions and material for the Community Medicine Practicum and Community Engaged Physician (I, II, III, IV ) courses in the Medicine and Society Strand.

Provides daily management of the Community Engaged Physician course series (cep123@fiu.edu) and the Community Medicine Practicum course inbox following up directly with students, communicating with the course directors, faculty, and other team members.

Coordinates the tracking of student assignment deficiencies, absences and other student issues. Follows up and provides status updates to course directors on student related issues.

Assists with day-to-day management of course related content in the online learning management system, including posting announcements, reviewing and releasing student grades, and updating course session modules.

Works closely with Course Directors in the planning and organizing of the Annual Interprofessional workshop for the Community Engaged Physician I course. Schedules committee meetings, takes minutes, prepares event materials, organizes event setup, collects and enters survey data for evaluation of the event.

Provides administrative support in the classroom, including collecting and distributing assignments and transcribing evaluations.

Monitors the online service hours submission program for the Community Medicine Practicum. Responsible for tracking, reviewing and approving service hour submissions by students.

Tracks and follows up with students regarding pending items required for the processing of their service hour project submissions. This includes maintaining an organized record of pending items and communicating with students promptly.

Provides support in entering course session information into the live instructional worksheets for the newly expanded Community Engaged Physician course series. This includes inputting details such as dates, times, instructors, and session formats. Assists with ensuring the worksheets are kept up-to-date and organized, reflecting any changes or additions to the course schedule, to maintain accurate and accessible information.

Bachelor's degree; OR four (4) years of office or related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
