Job Summary

Steven J Green School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) Dean's Office is currently recruiting a Student HR Assistant who is awarded Federal Work Study through their Financial Aid package, to join their team of professionals
Duties include:

  • Provides service excellence as an administrative liaison between prospective and current employees and the SIPA Business Unit HR Liaisons
  • Assists with responses to all incoming emails to the SIPA HR inbox to provide general answers to routine questions
  • Supports recruitment and onboarding process and events sponsored by SIPA HR
  • Assist with onboarding Student Assistant and Temporary candidates
  • Assist with updating FWS and Student job openings each academic year, as needed
  • Assist with keeping the SIPA HR tracking sheet up to date with all HR Actions
  • Attend FIU Service Excellence trainings once a year

Who May Apply

  • Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
  • Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.

Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department
