Job Summary

Works closely with other professionals in Housing and Residential Experience to administer and manage the Housing and Residential Experience program serving over 4,000 on-campus students. Oversees and manages the on-campus housing assignments processes, room selection processes, room transfer and cancellation processes, as well as advanced operation of the -housing management system. Assists in servicing populations such as first time in college, returning students, transfer students, student athletes, honors students, students with disabilities, living learning community students, and international students.

  • Coordinates service delivery and office operations in a friendly, positive and professional manner. Assists with daily management of on-campus housing assignments processes including residence hall assignments, room selection processes, room changes, space management, etc. for various populations.
  • Processes housing applications and room assignments; conducting occupancy management and process audits; participate in the occupancy management cycle planning and implementation.
  • Communicates with various constituencies including but not limited to students, parents, campus partners, etc.; Participates in various internal and external meetings related to occupancy management.
  • Updates housing management system to meet the changing needs of terms, constituencies, and student needs; conduct various system trainings as necessary.
  • Researches and responds to complex inquiries from students, parents, and campus partners in order to provide or clarify information on Housing and Residential Experience services, options, programs, policies, or procedures.
  • Works with department and campus partners to coordinate ADA assignments for students with special accommodation needs.
  • Serves as a System Administrator including system, template, and process development.
  • Coordinates regular audits of occupancy management records, processes, and procedures; make recommendations as necessary to supervisor.
  • Manages appropriate user access and credentials for system users. Makes recommendations for improving areas of efficiency, sustainability, training, and automation.
  • Represents Housing and Residential Experience in a positive manner during meetings, presentations, and engagements. Participates in after-hours rotation for assignment related issues.
  • Assists with coordination of the following process: early arrivals, break stay, and appeals.
  • Assists with documentation of all processes related to occupancy management and housing operations procedures.
  • Assists with the coordination of all occupancy, usage, and reporting efforts for Housing and Residential Experience, including identifying trends, projections and forecasting of future housing needs.
  • Serves in the on-call duty rotation with Housing Office operations staff.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, MBA, or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in a relevant field, such as university student housing, student affairs, property leasing, or customer service.
  • Proficiency in standard operating procedures for residence hall facilities, with a strong understanding of occupancy management.
