The Center for Translational Science at FIU located in Port St. Lucie, Florida is currently recruiting 2 Postdoctoral Associate positions to study neurodegenerative diseases using genetically engineered rats as relevant models for motoneuron disease, frontotemporal dementia, and Parkinsons disease. Candidates who have received adequate training on molecular biology, neuropathology, or mouse genetics are invited to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with two or more of the following techniques: histology, neuropathology, stereological cell counting, RNA sequencing, RNA in situ hybridization, Northern blotting, and RNA immunoprecipitation. These positions require a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or related field.
