Job Summary

The College of Arts, Science, and Education is currently seeking a student to join their team of professionals.
Duties to include:

  • Develop creative concepts and produce high-quality video content tailored to our development team's objectives, ensuring each video effectively engages donors and supports fundraising campaigns
  • Align Video Content with Fundraising Goals: Strategically align video productions with our fundraising objectives, understanding the nuances of donor stewardship, campaign promotion, and overall development initiatives to maximize impact and results
  • Utilize Video Production Techniques: Apply your expertise in video production techniques to execute each project with precision, from filming and editing to post-production, ensuring the final output meets our standards of excellence
  • Collaborate with Development Team: Work closely with our development team to understand their needs, provide creative input, and translate fundraising goals into actionable video concepts that resonate with our audience and drive engagement
  • Craft Compelling Narratives: Develop captivating storylines that effectively communicate the impact of our initiatives, leveraging the power of storytelling to inspire action and foster a deeper connection with our mission and values
  • Optimize Video Content for social media: Utilize your knowledge of social media platforms and trends to optimize video content for maximum reach and engagement, leveraging features and strategies to enhance visibility and drive audience interaction
  • Ensure Quality and Consistency: Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the video production process, adhering to brand standards and quality guidelines to deliver polished, professional content that reflects positively on our institution
  • Demonstrate Passion for Higher Education: Infuse your work with a genuine passion for higher education and philanthropy, conveying enthusiasm and dedication in every video project to inspire support and advocacy for our mission and goals

Who May Apply

  • Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
  • Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
