MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Three plus years of Configuration Management (CM) experience, with an understanding of baselines,configuration control, status accounting, etc
  • Skilled in basic Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Three plus years of experience with Software Lifecycle Management process and/or concepts (includes software versioning)
  • Experience building documents and forms in Word and/or Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Experience handling classified documents and software (CDs, DVDs, HDDs, etc.)
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience with Configuration Management documentation to include but not limited to, System Installation Guides (SIG), System Administrator Guides (SAG), and Software Version Description (SVD), etc.
  • Experience in the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) or equivalent quality management system
  • High attention to detail throughout the meticulous Configuration Management process
  • Experience using Atlassian's Jira and Confluence
  • Experience supporting a DevSecOps environment
  • Prior experience with DoD / Navy community

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is searching for a Software Configuration Manager to assist the Lead Software Engineer in the software engineering production across the complete Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) lifecycle of a project. Project tasking includes planning, design, concept of operations development, requirements management, risk management, software production, systems integration, testing, configuration management, quality assurance, and installation of software and hardware. Work will be performed at the customer site in San Diego, CA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Works with systems engineers, software developers, and cybersecurity professionals as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies to ensure that the processes are fully managed
  • Maintains all documentation of the project, e.g. ensuring version control and latest updates, including but not limited to user manuals, Software Development Plan (SDP),software version description (SVD), test reports, etc
  • Coordinates and configures change management or System Change Requests (SCRs), e.g. Processes developer software releases and change requests affecting configuration items
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and revise processes to meet technical and security-related requirements for the government customer
