Job Description
This new Quality Engineer role is to execute and drive quality tasks to support Operations set up for new factory as well as existing line and help sustain high quality in the products.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. * Lead in development and implementation of Control Plans, procedures using Statistical Quality control, lean manufacturing concepts and analyses.
* Ensures that Product performance and Quality conform to established customer and regulatory requirements, by supporting activities related to enhancement or extension of existing product lines.
* Lead Assembly Line/Test rigs Qualification Protocols and Report the data captured linked to the criteria.
* Generate Robust quality/validation plan to ensure the process & product are operational ready post Validation.
* Support investigations and root cause analysis for issues identified during the Validation phase of project which includes Data Processing (Statistics), Process Capability calculations, MSA Studies and correspondent reporting.
* Set and track quality goals/KPI's for achieving the operations Target. Activities will incorporate line and supplier issues containment, 4D and 8D leadership and support.
* Support Receiving Inspection, Process/Product Audits, Line Support, calibration and related processes to meet KPI of the Department.
* Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics, and processes to achieve quality goals.
* Manage containment activities for high risk or quality issues including the development, implementation and recording of all such activities to protect the customer.
* Provides liaison with other areas such as engineering, design engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and customer representatives in the resolution of quality concerns.
* Facilitate problem solving, ensure coordination and communication of corrective and preventive actions.
* Drive corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion with emphasis on the high impact issues by 4D/8D
* Use performance data to identify areas of risk and facilitate a cross functional team to drive improvement into the process / product following the documented corrective action process.
* Lead/Participate Quality Audits and help improve the process.

Education and/or Experience
o BS degree in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Mechanical, Technology, Process Engineering, or other related field or 5+ years of progressive experience in supplier quality, process quality, manufacturing operations or other related supplier interactive experience. o Training or experience in the knowledge and application of PPAP, FMEA, Lean/Six Sigma, ISO-9001/14001, IATF 16949, GD&T, Capability Analysis, Corrective Action Tools, Design for Manufacturability, and Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Word), Power Automate and Power Bi. Preferred Qualifications: (Education, Skills, Experience, and/or Languages that are nice to have but not required):
o Professional certifications (QE, SQE, etc.) from ASQ or the like beneficial.
