Job Description:

InterMetro Industries is seeking full-time NC Punch Operators for our Sheet Metal Fabrication Department.

Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a 50-working day probationary period. Job opportunities are currently available on second shift (Monday-Friday 3:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.) Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles consequently shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

Job Responsibilities



  • Sets up and runs any and all NC Turrets, as well as the Fiber Laser and Laser/Turret.
  • Utilizes precision measuring equipment.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Performs and verifies machine set-ups, to meet performance and quality standards.
  • Operates auxiliary equipment as assigned.
  • Uses simple tools such as tape measure and protractor.
  • Cleans and maintains work area.
  • Meets production and quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Regular attendance is required.


Basic Qualifications



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings or technical drawings.
  • Ability to use common measuring systems and measurement tools.
