Summary:

We are looking for a Task Lead to support the Bureau of Indian Affairs (IA) Business Support Services (BSS). The Task Lead shall be directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completion of all tasks under this effort. This shall require review of contract management applications submitted for broadband projects under federal regulations, BIA policies and procedures. In consultations with the DRES and DESCRM with established BIA's policies and procedures during the performance of the Contract. Shall report to and under the Contract Project Management. The BIA's Division of Real Estate Services throughout the BIA Regions and Agencies shall aid to deliver customer focused services on trust and restricted fee lands for broadband activities.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with BIA and the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA) under the U.S. Department of Commerce's federal program officers and tribal grantees funded through NTIA's Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP).
  • Provide a team to support BIA Central Office in the scope of the contract includes project management support and technical support of BIA's contract management of applications for tribal broadband projects.
  • Translates organizational concerns into communications solutions.
  • Prepare contract management documentation
  • Provide interim reports from TAAMS measuring on reviewing and encoding to ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes on processing of contract management transactions.
  • Participating in meetings and coordinating with Tribes, Tribal office, state agencies and other Federal agencies.
  • Priority processing of FAST-41 Projects before all other projects
  • Architect organizational strategies to ensure all creative work is focused on achieving client objectives.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability in reviewing environmental impact reports related to tribal broadband projects and be able to work collaboratively with the Division of Environmental Services and Cultural Resources Management (DESCRM) within the Office of Trust Services.
  • Shall have documented knowledge of BIA's regulations, policies, and procedures, reviewing contract management transactions related to tribal broadband projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with processing real estate transactions (a wide range of real estate principles, concepts, and practices).
  • In-depth knowledge of wide range of real estate principles, concepts, and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum six years of experience in a related industry.
  • Extensive project management experience.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a employment background check.
  • Verification of valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • BIA Realty experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000 per year.
