As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at StandardAero-Houston, you will perform routine upkeep, maintenance, and housekeeping to preserve and enhance buildings, equipment, vehicles and tools. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently to support the facility and equipment. Proper maintenance action preserves buildings and equipment, extending their useful life. Position is also responsible for EPA/OSHA responsibilities. What you'll do: Repair and maintain buildings and equipment Automotive repair and routine vehicle upkeep Gasoline and diesel engine trouble-shooting Removes refuse and hazardous waste in compliance with EPA standards and codes. Responds to emergency maintenance requests from all employees throughout the facility. Conducts safety checks for fire equipment, tooling, and environmental programs. Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Painting, Basic cleaning, Fabrication, and Basic welding. Basic Qualifications Previous experience in carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, automotive care, air conditioning, and diesel. A minimum of four (4) years experience performing facilities/vehicle maintenance in a professional setting. Must be able to be 24-hour HAZWOPER certified within 6 months of hire. Basic knowledge of EPA HAZMAT control and handling. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be comfortable working at heights Must be authorized to work in the U.S. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Must possess a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blue prints, and schematics Good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with customers and employees.
