As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at StandardAero-Houston, you will perform routine upkeep, maintenance, and housekeeping to preserve and enhance buildings, equipment, vehicles and tools. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently to support the facility and equipment. Proper maintenance action preserves buildings and equipment, extending their useful life. Position is also responsible for EPA/OSHA responsibilities.

What you'll do:

- Repair and maintain buildings and equipment

- Automotive repair and routine vehicle upkeep

- Gasoline and diesel engine trouble-shooting

- Removes refuse and hazardous waste in compliance with EPA standards and codes.

- Responds to emergency maintenance requests from all employees throughout the facility.

- Conducts safety checks for fire equipment, tooling, and environmental programs.

- Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Painting, Basic cleaning, Fabrication, and Basic welding.

Basic Qualifications

- Previous experience in carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, automotive care, air conditioning, and diesel.

- A minimum of four (4) years experience performing facilities/vehicle maintenance in a professional setting.

- Must be able to be 24-hour HAZWOPER certified within 6 months of hire.

- Basic knowledge of EPA HAZMAT control and handling.

- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Must be comfortable working at heights

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

- Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blue prints, and schematics

- Good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with customers and employees.
