As a Technical Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for supporting internal and external customers' technical inquiries via phone and email communication. The TSR will recommend solutions based on the technical nature of the inquiry. This position works under moderate supervision and is expected to perform to set departmental standards. The TSR trouble shoots and resolves installation problems as described by the customer/caller and escalates where necessary to other functions within the organization eg, marketing, sales, product managers, engineers, and quality. Additionally, this position enters quotes, orders, and purchase orders, facilitates order expedites, resolves any problems and find solutions when needed. Must be knowledgeable of the organization's policies, procedures, practices, products and services.

The Salary range is $60,000 -$70,000, contingent upon experience.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take customer orders
  • Research through multiple sources when needed to determine the best solution for customer needs
  • Provide technical sales support and design assistance
  • Act as key technical knowledge source by staying up to date on industry and product change.
  • Troubleshoot product quality issues that may occur and implement solutions.
  • Technical support for SemiTorr Group, customers/suppliers
  • Review technical questions and develop timely, competent answers for customers and staff
  • Resolve issues with delivery, pricing, quotes and customer related issues
  • Support Outside Sales Representatives by providing quotes, following up with customers, and entering orders
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships of trust through open and proactive communication
  • Record accurate, detailed information regarding all inquiries, comments and complaints, as well as actions taken
  • Handle complaints and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within reasonable time limits and follow up to ensure an adequate resolution has been provided
  • Set up and maintain customer information in company CRM
  • Other duties as assigned

A must...

  • Strong telephone, active listening, and customer service skills
  • Strong research/problem-solving skills with ability to recommend solution (s)
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, CDM (Collaboration and Document Management) skills
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable
  • Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Have a sense of ownership
  • CSD ERP skills a plus
  • 4- year undergrad degree or associate's degree from an accredited institution in a related technical or scientific discipline or equivalent preferred
  • Trade or technical school certificate preferred
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related technical, customer service and/or product support experience required
  • Experience in handling customer on-line reviews, ratings and questions from third-party websites
  • A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel (less than 5%)

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
