What you'll do:

The AAB Product Leader leads the business product development, roadmaps, and work closely with the IT development team. They manage key community association products including an online payment system process over 1,000,000 consumer payments each month and a robust suite of APIs that supports over $8 Billion dollars in deposit accounts. They align and enable strategic business outcomes to deliver client value and lasting business impact. The role engages in all aspects of technology and product solution delivery from concept ideation to customer delivery. They will focus on product strategy and market / competitive analysis, requirements gathering, development, quality assurance and testing, deployment, and application support. Partnering with senior managers across various business areas including the sales organization and the banks IT organization. They will plan and execute new initiatives and manage the portfolio of existing product solutions.

Must have payment solutions experience

What we are looking for:

  • Provides leadership and strategic guidance during solution definition processes and translates business requirements into product/technology strategies to ensure business outcomes are achieved in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Conducts research, analysis, design, development and implementation new products and product enhancements, technology trends, and preferred architectural frameworks
  • Leads internal business partner meetings to gather and identify business requirements; evaluates concepts such as market timing, compelling event, and problem identification to ensure that delivered solutions meet both short and long-term company and customer business performance expectations
  • Drives new capabilities and initiatives for payment products across all channels, with focus on electronic payments to include real time payments, digitization, integrated solutions, and developments in the payments ecosystem as well as digital transformation through combination of outsourced software implementation and internal services integration and/or development
  • Manages cross-enterprise matrixed teams for assigned products to create and manage business cases, ongoing service levels and customer experience
  • Creates transparency into the development/project portfolio and ongoing production support capital and operating expenses and budgets and reports on key technology metrics
  • Prepares and manages annual NBL LoB solutions delivery budget, providing thought leadership and working collaboratively, across the business lines, on innovation, improvement, and efficiency programs
  • Manage a team of product managers

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within technology/finance/payments industry with a focus on delivering technology solutions and product development
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of payments, API, financial technology and/or banking, including deposits, treasury management, consumer payments, payables solutions, credit cards, and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and best practices.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of financial technology and/or payment products, pricing dynamics, and targeted market awareness in all key WAB markets.
  • Experience with product management methodology including new product launches, road mapping, business case analysis and application, product enhancements, communication and marketing plans, and dashboard/report development.
  • Experience payments products, preferably within a product management framework
  • Experience with development of deposit/payment products and online technology platforms preferred
  • Strong/significant project management and systems engineering experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, drive employee development, retention, resource planning, talent management, performance management, and achieve a diverse and engaged workforce
  • Strong analytical,communication, and presentation skills as well as leadership qualities to successfully manage projects as well as multiple partners and stakeholders
