Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS), a national leader in environmental law and restorative justice, invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor appointments to teach in the school's growing Online Hybrid JD Program. Candidates with research and teaching interests in Torts, Property, and other required courses such as Contracts, Criminal Law, Evidence, Civil Procedure, and Professional Responsibility are encouraged to apply. The position will start in July 2025; the precise start date is flexible. This hiring is part of a multi-year strategic hiring plan, and entry-level, junior, and senior lateral candidates will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of or potential for outstanding scholarly achievement and strong, innovative, and engaged synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.

In addition to teaching, faculty provide service to VLGS and engage with other professionals and the public to contribute to the intellectual exchange of ideas, improve the law, and educate the public about the law, with an eye towards social justice. Remote faculty members are expected to serve on committees, attend virtual campus events, and be fully engaged in the mission of the school.
