The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Construction Manager. The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for being an integral part of the delivery of Ulteig's Construction Management program, encompassing all details of a construction project, key stakeholders, and Ulteig personnel assigned to the project. The Senior Construction Manager's duties will include management and development of other construction observation and management staff, support of field and office-based project work, coordination with clients and business partners, and business development activities.

This position will primarily focus on Transportation-related projects, either municipal or DOT, but may lead other construction projects as needed.

What You'll Do



  • Lead large transportation projects as the Project Engineer
  • Assist project staff in their duties
  • Work closely with Project engineers, construction engineers, and superintendents
  • Ensure adherence to Safety policies
  • Perform and document job safety walks on a regular basis
  • Ensure adherence to client's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs
  • Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues in coordination with QA/QC
  • Review and adhere to the environmental management plan
  • Review task budget, set and track productivity
  • Execute work plans for the construction activities
  • Implement basic layout and field measurements
  • Track Request For Information (RFls)
  • Update "as built" drawings
  • Track, and resolve punch list items
  • Prepare task completion reports
  • Prepare basic take-off



What We Expect from You



  • Minimum of 10 years of DOT Construction Experience with a PE license
  • 20 years of DOT Construction Experience without a license
  • Experience and managing developing less experienced staff
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to be organized work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
  • Consistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
  • Achieves results by problem-solving, setting priorities, and organization; understands the fundamentals of project management
  • Maintains customer focus in sales management to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner
  • Demonstrates good communication through active listening, presentation skills, and effective verbal and written skills
  • Works hard and efficiently within a team to achieve group goals; takes the interests of others into consideration when taking action and is respected and trusted by others
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Experience in DOT software and forms
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $125,400- $169,600
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job-specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role, and comparison to other employees already in this role
