Your role and responsibilities

The Sr HRIS Analyst will be responsible for leading the end-to-end processing of people related integrations in the US HCM applications, SAP and Workday, with a focus on payroll, time management, compensation, benefits, organizational management, and people administration. In addition, this role will work in tandem with local technical resources from Information Systems to resolve break fix and project related work items. The Sr HRIS Analyst also works closely with the US Employee Life Cycle team to ensure data is entered into the US systems and validated for accuracy and completeness. The Sr HRIS Analyst will also be responsible for partnering with the US HR functional leaders to facilitate the M&A HR related activity in the US, serving as our central point of contact for the planning, organizing, and executing all mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations.
The work model for the role is onsite (#LI-Onsite) from the Cary, NC office.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting the US HR leaders in the execution of the ongoing file interfaces between ABB and key HR/Benefit vendors. Auditing, testing, and updating all processes needed to maintain compliance of HR policies and Benefit plans.
- Working with key stakeholders (payroll, timekeeping, benefits, compliance) to make modifications to file configuration and to test outcomes.
- Playing a key role in implementation of new vendor integrations or changes in current vendor files.
- Ensuring that all the integrations and interfaces are executed according to the project timelines.
- Managing, restructuring, and reviewing large data load for projects to ensure accurate data transfer and smooth integration with downstream applications.
- Maintaining an inventory of all M&A activity impacting the US HR team, including the current status and key due dates and deliverables.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Management, or related field and 5+ years of experience in HR or Shared Services Operations (insourced or outsourced) or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 8+ years of experience in HRIS requirement gathering, testing, and release
  • 3+ years managing priority projects and scheduling work
  • Experience leading, managing and developing large teams of diverse priorities, projects, employees and cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of the various HR functions, as well as federal, state, and local laws
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Advanced level of understanding of Enterprise Interface Builder (EIBs), integrations, and calculated fields
  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) information technology services
  • Ability to influence others at all levels of the business and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and partnership in a global environment
  • Understanding of hire to retire processes
  • Experience working with functional HR teams in the development and implementation of technical solutions
  • Must maintain confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy
  • Workday certification preferred.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Workday and Kronos modules in Payroll, Security, Onboarding, Talent, Recruiting, Compensation, Leave of Absence, and Time/Tracking preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
