Your role and responsibilities
In this role, the Sales Specialist MV Drives is responsible for executing the sales strategies and to build and maintain the highest level of customer engagement with the main objective of meeting or exceeding order growth targets with assigned accounts and product line(s). Identify and develop sales opportunities. The work model for the role is: #LI - Remote This role is contributing to the Motion - System Drives in New Berlin, WI area. You will be mainly accountable for: *Implementing short term sales plans and actions to develop assigned accounts, customers, and industries; Providing regular sales summary reports to Director of Project Sales; Focus sales efforts on developing opportunities in target segments and with focused product lines. *Extensive use of SalesForce.com to capture and track key opportunities; Engage tendering team/technical support as required to influence specifications and develop solutions; Provide feedback on customer budget and/or market price; Work closely with the inside sales/ tendering team to define winning strategies during pre-tender stage. *Actively participate in the negotiation for key projects; Work closely with the Industry Sales team, Global and Strategic Account Managers and Segment Managers in sales efforts; Provide simple quotations where possible using defined tools; Provide sales forecast as required during cadence reviews. *Represent the voice-of-the customer; Ensures customer issues are directed to appropriate groups for effective resolution; Engage ABB senior management as part of escalation process as required. Qualifications for the role
- Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree; 10+ years in Electrical Industry; Min of 4 years on a Sales and/or Marketing team;
- Industry knowledge Energy/Oil&Gas, Water/Wastewater, Mining and Cement, Metals and Power
- Strong knowledge about medium and/or low voltage AC Drives;
- Demonstrate effective communication skills; Strategic thinker; Technical and analytical; Willingness to learn;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently;
- Proficient with Microsoft office products and SFDC; Team player with strong customer focus; Experience in the Drives business is beneficial for success in this role.
- Ability to work and excel in a high demand, customer-centric, outcomes-based environment required
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
