Service Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs Assists outside sales personnel with quotation, order processing/management, customer interactions and internal communication with ABB factories and Aftermarket amongst others Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails Fielding of website generated service requests Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales managers for further development and closure Work in concert with the Sales Directors to strengthen relationships with ABB partner organizations (CIO, IC&S, Utility, etc.) Work with Technical Proposal Managers, Application Engineers, and Customers to provide larger project quotations Support closing orders and achieve quarterly quotas Research accounts identify key players and generate interest Prospects for new accounts within a specified geographical territory Generates low dollar proposals Generates parts only proposals Works with factory teams to secure material pricing Coordinate with Aftermarket Parts Channel Mgr. and Sales as required Establish and maintain customer relationships. Learn and evaluate customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements, and preferences Processes product & service quotations and drive continuous follow up throughout the completion of the customer's purchasing cycle Gathers and reports to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market trends as well as assists management and vendors in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets
Qualifications for the role
- High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- 10 plus years of proposal generation and customer support experience
- Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments in the electrical industry
- General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred
- Previous experience with business-to-business customer support preferred
- Must have knowledge and skill in utilization of computer databases
- Combination of education and experience demonstrating ability for more complex assignment and/or promotable within the power product/systems sales organization
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
