We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Solutions Architect to join our team. In this role, you will design, plan, and model data platform solutions on Azure, leveraging your extensive experience in architecting data solutions with a focus on microservices principles. You will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights, contributing to high-volume production systems, and ensuring the optimal performance of data pipelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Architecting and Designing: Lead the design and architecture of data solutions using Azure Databricks, Collibra, and other Azure services, following microservices principles.
- Data Modelling: Develop and implement data models that support business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau.
- Data Pipeline Creation: Utilize cloud-based tools to create, manage, and optimize data pipelines for high-volume production systems.
- Programming: Use programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R to access, transform, and analyze data.
- Databricks Workflow Deployment: Deploy and manage Databricks notebooks and workflows to streamline data processing and analytics.
- Agile Collaboration: Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to iteratively develop and deliver data products.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipeline performance to ensure efficiency and reliability in data processing.
- Power BI Development: Develop and maintain Power BI data models, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance standards.
Qualifications: Experience: 5-7 years of experience in developing cloud-based data solutions, with a strong emphasis on Azure.

- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Certification:
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional Certification (Required at Call proposal).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certifications (Preferred at Call proposal).
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience in architecting data solutions using microservices principles with Databricks on Azure and Collibra.
- Proficient in using SQL, Python, and R for data transformation and analysis.
- Deep understanding of Databricks workflows and deployment processes.
- Expertise in data modelling for business intelligence platforms like Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau.
- Proven track record in optimizing data pipeline performance.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional Azure services and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
