We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our team, focusing on developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures in Azure cloud environments. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of our data assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in data governance or data management and a strong understanding of data governance concepts and tools. Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to manage data assets effectively within Azure cloud environments. Data Governance Tools: Utilize and manage data governance tools and technologies to support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. Data Profiling & Management: Apply data profiling techniques and master data management (MDM) practices to ensure data quality and integrity. Metadata Management: Configure, use, and manage metadata management tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica) to maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metrics/KPI glossaries. Compliance & Privacy: Establish and maintain methods to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for product teams. Agile Collaboration: Work in an Agile environment, contributing to the iterative development and delivery of data governance products. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve data governance practices to align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles. Clearance:Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of data governance concepts, data quality management, data stewardship, and data lineage tracking. Experience with data governance tools and technologies for enterprise-wide initiatives. Proficiency in data profiling techniques, master data management, data cataloging, and metadata management. Experience configuring and managing metadata management tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica). Knowledge of creating and maintaining enterprise metadata templates.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA. Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with teams to deliver data governance products. Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
