OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company seeks a mechanical engineering undergraduate or graduate student for a paid Summer 2025 Internship in our Greenwood Village, Colorado office. Imagine working on rewarding client projects and being exposed to unparalleled training and development opportunities!

The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2025.

Merrick is accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September - November 2024. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Fall/Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

The program allows interns to gain technical experience in detailed machine design and fabrication, 3D modeling in CREO (Pro/Engineer), drawing creation in CREO, material selection, calculations in Mathcad and CREO Simulation, piping systems, and exposure to ASME NQA-1 quality requirements.

The position requires the intern to work independently and collaboratively with other disciplines, interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, possess good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to problem solve. Intern must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school.
  • Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
  • Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CREO (strongly preferred), SolidWorks, Revit, CAD Worx or other 3D modeling packages.
  • Previous internships in Mechanical Engineering.
