Position Summary We are seeking a highly-skilled and innovative energy professional to join our new ventures team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or environmental science and proven project management skills. Additionally, the candidate should show an ability look across our industry and explore innovative technologies and solutions which align with the company's long-term sustainability goals and objectives. This position is responsible for working within a multi-disciplinary team within the new ventures group to lead the identification of new business opportunities within a sustainable business framework. Key responsibilities will include the identification and technical assessment of potential new business opportunities which align with the company's objectives for environmental sustainability. This role requires a thorough understanding of managing sustainability initiatives and driving new business opportunities in this segment. This person will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, sustainability and regulatory affairs, to assure effectively integration of these new business initiatives. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX and will report to the VP of New Ventures. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and diligence new business initiatives which are aligned with the company's long-term goals and sustainability targets
  • Source new business opportunities across the energy value chain which are complimentary to the company's longer-term operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assimilate new business initiatives into operational practices and project planning
  • Monitor and analyze innovations in emerging technologies to identify potential investment opportunities for business expansion and improvements
  • Manage data systems to track the development and application of new technologies which can further the company's operational and sustainability objectives

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences
  • 9 years of oil and gas experience
  • Strong team building skills and ability to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a variety of areas including negotiations, project planning, budget development, employee supervision and project management
  • Experience in business development or new ventures is a plus
  • Ability to lead diverse and distant teams through change and organizational transformation
  • Detail orientated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel to field offices and other locations
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Mustpossess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to readprinted materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
