Careers Civil Designer Wichita, Kansas Garver is seeking a Civil Designeror CAD Technicianfor ourWichita, KS office to assist in planning, design, and construction documents development on a variety of general civil and multi-discipline engineering projects. Additional assignments may involve conceptual/preliminary site layouts, quantity computations, cost estimates, multi-discipline coordination, and as-built drawings. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent An Associate's degree or higher in drafting, design, or surveying, or combination of relevant coursework and drafting experience 2+ years of related drafting experience in survey, site, roadway, stormwater, and general civil-type projects Understanding and application of drafting methods, standards, and procedures Working knowledge of drafting/design software and MS Office Products Preferred Skills Excellent communication skills Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Experience with Revit Experience converting drone data to maps and models Willingness to travel periodically and as needed in the course of execution of projects Open to training the right candidate Grow With Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
