GENERAL FUNCTION

This role is responsible for developing category roadmaps, defining long-term product strategies, and activating those product plans to drive innovation, brand, and growth. This leader will partner closely with the Category and Assortment COE teams to set the direction for new products and manage product lifecycles to ensure cohesive storytelling. This leader will also work with store operations and marketing to create tools and training for Field Leaders to drive adoption and execution of brand strategy.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




    • Partner with COE teams to define annual Style & SKU budgets and assess sku productivity and responsibility for the category life cycle. Develop comprehensive product briefs including product need, target consumer, volume expectations, price, and margin requirements
    • Develop the product strategic direction, roadmap, and key product stories that consolidates the brand, and market needs to define segmentation, and market opportunity
    • Build consensus with key stakeholders and understand product trends with the market aligned to corporate goals.
    • Develop product competitive analyses via field visits, journals, market feedback and sales data
    • Drive product innovation and technology roadmap with R&D teams
    • Drive business profitability through an understanding of the key product levers by setting product growth, ASP, and margin objectives for the category by brand and channel
    • Works with business analytics to create financial models to model growth and growth projections
    • Collaborate with cross functional and marketing team giving product input to marketing assets that communicates product stories.
    • Present product stories, samples, sales tools and training to field teams and franchisees
    • Hold sales meetings to communicate product stories and consolidate feedback
    • Identify sales tools and training required to communicate and differentiate product stories
    • Build, implement, and refine product initiatives (lenses and frames) to drive wholesale growth for Pearle Vision franchises.



  • Drive go-to-market execution by working with marketing to drive plans
  • Track, Measure and Manage the business
  • Regularly report on business performance and find creative solutions to drive performance


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • BA/BS in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in Category/Product Management or Wholesale Development
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience managing a P&L
  • Strategic thinking and ability to drive a product line
  • Strong leadership skills to be able to create cross-functional partnerships
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape and the key industry dynamics
  • Effective communicator and presenter with strong leadership skills and experience communicating complex information to multiple individuals/audiences


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Master degree in business/highly analytical field or MBA preferred
  • Retail, wholesale and sales experience

Pay Range: 103,194.48-157,591.40

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
