Job Summary:

YAGEO Group is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to work onsite in our Simpsonville, SC location. The Payroll Specialist performs payroll-related functions, including payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, automated timekeeping systems and payroll reporting in a multi-entity, multi-state, high-volume environment. The Payroll Specialist provides excellent customer service to managers and associates and is well versed in payroll compliance, taxes and reporting.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:



  • Performs payroll-related functions including but not limited to payroll processing, audits, and maintenance
  • Processes both scheduled and off cycle payrolls for multi-frequency payroll groups
  • Performs file imports into payroll system from various sources and reviews and verifies payroll data in a timely manner
  • Provide user credentials/password resets to employees for timekeeping and payroll systems
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Maintain records for assigned purchase orders and submits invoices for payment
  • Escalates non-routine inquiries and issues to Supervisor
  • Builds strong partnership with clients by providing superior service
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism with all team members and clients
  • Attends and/or facilitates regular knowledge building seminars
  • Team player with flexibility to work overtime on occasion
  • Assist with Month End, Quarter End, Year End, and Open Enrollment as requested
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Quickly and easily adapt to change and shifting priorities with enthusiasm
  • Experience with large corporate payroll processing that includes exposure to benefits and 401(k) preferred
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll software UKG preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Exhibit organizational, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems through effective customer service
  • Ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
