Position Summary:

The APP Fellowship Coach
provides APPs hired into the program with ongoing guidance to achieve their
greatest potential as a clinician. This is position works at the point of care
to support new APPs, their preceptors, and their welcoming teams. Responsible
for monitoring onboarding / orientation process and implementing changes as
needed to support the individual APP. Spends time with APPs and their teams at
the point of care to increase skill development and interpersonal growth. Works
closely with preceptors and hiring leaders. Completes and evaluates benchmark
data for each new APP. Aids in the planning and execution of APP Fellowship
curricula and events. Acts as an educational resource and liaison to staff.
Provides a high level of support to APPs hired through the program to support
strong retention and engagement and excellent patient outcomes.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BSN and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field within 3 years of hire date

LICENSEURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in the state of Illinois upon application
National Nursing Certification (NPD) or relevant within 3 years of hire date

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Will be required to travel frequently to designated clinics

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
(3) years of clinical experience
Demonstrated ability to manage projects
Previous experience with team-based care, including APP roles
Previous education and/or precepting experience

Essential Functions:

Monitors and completes onboarding process

Support APPs through intensive rounding with the team and provision of individual coaching and feedback

Collaborate with team members to develop schedules and create preceptor assignments

Conducts analysis through the onboarding / orientation process to assure advancement of skill and provision of safe patient care

Coordinate with Executive Director, Advanced Practice for program accreditation

Oversees process for assuring feedback tools are completed and trended

Maintain clear communication with departmental teams

Support recruitment and retention events as needed

Shadow staff to ensure the progression of skills.

Supports staff through rounding and follow-up.

Completes all mandatory training and competency modules.
