Department OverviewEvidence Engineering Devices, Hardware Device Development of Body Worn Cameras and In Car Video System Job Description

Hardware Development Engineer - New development of products for Body Worn Cameras and in vehicle camera systems. Knowledge of Image sensors, ISP, and video processing a definite plus. Job responsibilities include Orcad schematic capture, Orcad schematic component creation, Allegro Cadence component footprint creation, Allegro Cadence board layout, and maintaining Allegro Cadence part library. Design in available alternative components to maintain production of volume designs and also new development. Familiarity with switching analog power supply design, high speed digital, embedded microcontrollers, SOCs, FPGAs, and passive components. Understanding of good design practices and layout for high speed signal integrity. Understanding of coexistence of high speed digital design and RF.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 7+ years of hardware development experience

  • Excellent methodical organizational skills

  • Able to use advanced test equipment to verify designs.

Preferred Skills:
  • Orcad schematic Capture and Allegro Cadence layout capabilities.

  • System level thought process.

  • Understanding of high speed layouts and signal integrity.

  • Switch power supplies and signal integrity board layout methods.

  • Video product development experience.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

7+ years of hardware development experience

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
